Joyce DiDonato, Renée Fleming, Michael Fabiano Headline San Francisco Opera’s May Streaming Slate

San Francisco Opera has announced the official dates for its “Opera is On” Streaming service.

This weekend on May 16, the company will broadcast Bellini’s “The Capulets and the Montegues” in a production headlined by Nicole Cabell and Joyce DiDonato. Riccard Frizza conducts a cast that also includes Saimir Pirgu, Ao Li, and Eric Owens.

On May 23, audiences can check out Jake Heggie and Gene Scheer’s “Moby Dick.” The cast includes Jay Hunter Morris, Stephen Costello, Jonathan Lemalu, Morgan Smith, Talise Trevigne, Matthew O’Neill, and Robert Orth. Patrick Summers conducts.

The month of May ends with “Lucrezia Borgia” on May 30. The production stars Renée Fleming and Michael Fabiano alongside Vitalij Kowaljow and Elizabeth DeShong. Riccardo Frizza conducts.

All streams can be viewed on the company’s official website starting at 10 a.m. on the date of streaming until 11:59 p.m. the following day.
