Joyce DiDonato participated in “The Call to Unite” livestream organized by Oprah Winfrey and Timothy Shriver.

DiDonato shared her video segment on Instagram stating, “I was happy to participate in @thecalltounite organized by @oprah Winfrey and @timothyshriver. My song – one of the most beautiful I know – is about love. Wishing each of you an abundance of love within and around you. If we can nurture that, we are rich beyond measure. DiDonato was among the many celebrities to participate in the 24-hour event on May 2 including Yo-Yo Ma, Julia Roberts, Avril Lavigne, Mandy Moore, Sean Combs, Josh Groban, Former Presidents Bill Clinton and George W. Bush, and Jennifer Garner.

DiDonato has been active throughout the COVID-19 pandemic participating in the Metropolitan Opera gala, recording a piece alongside Antonio Pappano, and also performing excerpts from “Werther” with Piotr Beczala.
