Joyce DiDonato has announced that after the end of her “In War & Peace” tour, she will host a conversation entitled ” A Motion for Peace.”

The soprano stated via social media, “After 3 extraordinary years, our ‘In War & Peace Tour’ comes to an end. In searching for a way to leave the project open, I have invited two of the greatest minds (and hearts) to meet in conversation to explore the topic of peace in our world.” The mezzo will join Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg and Donna Leon in a conversation at the Kennedy Center.

The free discussion will explore the role of music in finding peace.

DiDonato will complete the “In War and Peace” tour at the Kennedy Center on Nov. 8 and 9 after performing 44 cities and 23 countries and obtaining over 2.6 million viewers.

“A Motion for Peace” will be presented on Nov. 10, 2019.
