Joyce DiDonato, Anne Sofie von Otter, Bryne Terfel, Gerald Finley Headline The Royal Conservatory’s 2021-22 Season

For the purposes of this article, our focus will be solely on vocal and operatic performances.
The Glenn Gould School Chamber Opera will present Ana Sokolović’s “Svadba,” a work for six female voices a cappella and percussion accompaniment.
Performance Date: Nov. 5 & 6, 2021
The ARC Ensemble presents “Marc Neikrug’s “A Song by Mahler,” performed by mezzo-soprano Blythe Gaissert and baritone Kelly Markgraf.
Performance Date: Jan. 15, 2022
Baritone Gerald Finley and pianist Julius Drake will present a recital featuring music by Schubert, Wolf, Turnage, Korngold, Morley, Holman, Dring, Cole Porter, and Tippett.
Performance Date: Jan. 23, 2022
The Glenn Gould School will showcase its vocal showcase featuring art songs and opera excerpts.
Performance Date: Jan. 29, 2022
The King’s Singers will present “Finding Harmony,” a concert featuring music from around the world spotlighting unique themes.
Performance Date: Feb. 12, 2022
The Glenn Gould School will present Händel’s “Rinaldo.”
Performance Date: March 16 & 18, 2022
Mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato will perform her new program “Eden” alongside Il Pomo d’Or. The showcase will include music by Händel, Purcell, Gluck, Mahler, Cavalli, Portman, and Ives.
Performance Date: April 19, 2022
Sir Bryn Terfel will present a program alongside Natalia Katyukova.
Performance Date: April 30, 2022
The season comes to a close with a concert by Anne Sofie von Otter and Christoph Berner featuring music by Mozart, Lindblad, Giejer, and Schubert.
Performance Date: May 15, 2022
