Famed violinist Joshua Bell and soprano Larisa Martinez will appear in a special PBS performance on August 16, 2020.

The program, entitled “Joshua Bell: At Home With Music,” will air at 7 p.m. ET / 6 p.m. CT and will be available to stream for free for two weeks thereafter.

The program will center around a musical soirée of intimate performances from home, while also sharing a behind-the-scenes look at family, Bell’s own musical inspirations, and more. The duo will perform works by Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Wieniawski, Puccini, Dvořák, Gerswhin, and Bernstein.

The recital will also feature guest artists and friends Jeremy Denk, Peter Dugan, and Kamal Khan.

A companion album, “Joshua Bell: At Home With Music,” with audio recordings of the musical performances in the special, will be released digitally by Sony Classical on August 14, 2020.
