Joseph Calleja, Javier Camarena & Ramón Vargas lead Opera Naples’ Festival Under the Stars

Opera Naples has announced the II Festival Under the Star with Artistic Director Ramón Tebar conducting the Naples Festival Orchestra.

The festival will take place from March 11 to 20 with performances at Cambier Park and the Wang Opera Center.

The season will open with Opera Star Concert with Joseph Calleja. Due to popular demand, Opera Naples is bringing back the Maltese tenor and international opera icon, for an encore performance.

Performance Date: March 11, 2022

Puccini’s “Tosca” is set to star Ramón Vargas and Mark Delavan.

Performance Dates: March 13 & 15, 2022

Bernstein’s “On the Town” is set to be performed for one performance with Sherrill Milnes narrating.

Performance Dates: March 14, 2022

Opera Star Concert will present Javier Camarena in a program of Bel Canto and Mozart favorites.

Performance  Date: March 16, 2022

“Glory Denied” by Tom Cipullo is set to star Linda Collazo, Emilie Faiella, Wesley Frye, and Skyler Schlenker. Ramón Tebar conducts.

Performance Dates: March 18 & 20, 2022

The final Opera Star Concert will feature Ramón Vargas who will also close the festival.
