Jonathan Tetelman, Saioa Hernández, Carmen Giannattasio & Xabier Anduaga Lead Ópera de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria’s 2025 Season

The Ópera de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria has announced its 2025 season.

The season opens with a double bill of Puccini’s “Il tabarro” and “Le villi.” The production will star Jonathan Tetelman, Carmen Giannattasio, and Ariunbaatar Ganbaatar. Lorenzo Passerini conducts.

Performance Dates: Feb. 17-21, 2025

Bizet’s Carmen is set to star Yulia Matochkina, Arturo Chacón-Cruz, Miren Urbieta Vega, and Maharram Huseynov. Rafael Sánchez Araña conducts.

Performance Dates: March 18-22, 2025

The season will also include a production of Mozart’s “Don Giovanni” starring Carlos Álvarez, Rubén Amoretti, Marco Ciaponi, Carolina López Moreno, and Giuliana Gianfaldoni. Leonardo Sini conducts.

Performance Dates: April 8-12, 2025

Verdi’s “La Traviata” will star Kristina Mkhitaryan, Xabier Anduaga, and Fernando Campero. Guillermo García Calvo conducts.

Performance Dates: May 20-24, 2025

The season concludes with Puccini’s “Madama Butterfly” starring Saioa Hernández. Swan Piva and Pietro Spagnoli also star with Francesco Ivan Ciampa conducting.

Performance Dates: June 10-14, 2025
