Jonathan Tetelman Replaces Riccardo Massi In Dresden’s ‘Tosca’

By Francisco Salazar

Jonathan Tetelman is set to make his Semperoper Dresden debut.

The company announced that Tetelman will sing Mario Cavaradossi in “Tosca” on Nov. 14, replacing Riccardo Massi.

Tetelman is coming off a run of “Tosca” at the Teatro Regio di Torino and is set to sing the opera at the Malmö Opera in December. He also sings in a production of “Tosca” at the Teatro Colón in the summer. This season the tenor sings at the Royal Opera House and Great Hall in Moscow. He returns to Dresden for one performance of “La Bohème” in March.

The tenor joins a cast that includes Kristine Opolais and Andrzej Dobber with Antonino Fogliani conducting.

Massi returns to the stage later this month for “Aida” at the Mikhailovsky Theatre, St Petersburg.
