“Jonas Kaufmann My Vienna” comes to cinemas worldwide on March 24, 2020.

The performance, which was filmed live at the Wiener Konzerthaus in Vienna, features the famed tenor alongside the Prague Philharmonia Orchestra and soprano Rachel Willis-Sørensen in music by Strauss and Léhar, among others.

“The music always put me in a good mood,” he stated according to a press release. “When I had unlikeable things to do as a student, like cleaning or vacuuming, all I had to do was play Carlos Kleiber’s Fledermaus recording, and in no time at all I had a grin on my face.”

The concert will be distributed by More2Screen with the March performance followed by encore screenings at select cinemas.

Kaufmann is set to appear in a sold-out run of “Fidelio” at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden followed by “Die tote Stadt” in Munich, “Die Walküre” in Paris, and “Der Meistersinger von Nürnberg” in Munich.
