Jonas Kaufmann, Maria Agresta, Annalisa Stroppa & Ambrogio Maestri Lead Free Streams From Semperoper Dresden

The Semperoper Dresden has announced that it will stream the 2016 double-bill production of Mascagni’s “Cavalleria Rusticana” and Leoncavallo’s “Pagliacci.” The operas star Maria Agresta, Liudmyla Monastyrska, Annalisa Stroppa, Stefania Toczyska, Tansel Akzeybek, Alessio Arduini, Jonas Kaufmann, Ambrogio Maestri and Dimitri Platanias. Christian Thielemann conducts the Staatskapelle Dresden.

This Unitel recording is made available in collaboration with the streaming platform Fidelio and will be available on the Semperoper’s official website from Dec. 17 – 19, 2021.

Additionally, the company will present a stream featuring Justyna Ołów, Alice Rossi, Mariya Taniguchi, Joseph Dennis, Simeon Esper, Martin-Jan Nijhof and Sebastian Wartig. The artists will present a program of music from various composers. The stream will be available on the company’s official website between Dec. 24 – 26, 2021.

The Semperoper Dresden is closed until at least Jan. 9, 2022, due to the complicated epidemiological situation in the federal state of Saxony.
