Jonas Kaufmann, Lisette Oropesa & Elina Garanca Highlight Wiener Staatsoper Weekly Streams

The Wiener Staatsoper has announced its weekly streams for Nov. 30 through Dec 6, 2020.

The week is set to begin with a production of Mozart’s “The Abduction of the Seraglio.” The production by Hans Neuenfels stars Lisette Oropesa, Daniel Behle, Regula Mühlemann, Michael Laurenz, and Goran Juric.

Camilla Nylund stars in a recent production of R. Strauss’ “Capriccio” with Markus Eiche, Michael Schade, Adrian Eröd, Wolfgang Bankl, and Angelika Kirchschlager. Michael Boder conducts the production.

Streaming Date: Dec. 1, 2020

Puccini’s “La Bohème” will be shown in a 2019 production conducted by Marco Armiliato. The performance stars Stefan Pop, Irina Lungu, Samuel Hasselhorn, and Mariam Battistelli.

Streaming Date: Dec. 2, 2020

Ludwig Minkus’ “Don Quixote” is set to be streamed from a performance in June 2016 starring Maria Yakovleva, Denys Cherevychko, Ketevan Papava, Roman Lazik, and Olga Esina.

Bernarda Fink, Adrian Eröd, Simon Keenlyside, Olga Bezsmertna, and Maria Nazarova star in Debussy’s “Pelléas et Mélisande” from a performance in 2017. Alain Altinoglu conducts the production by Marco Arturo Marelli.

Streaming Date: Dec. 4, 2020

Puccini’s “La Fanciulla del West” will be streamed starring Nina Stemme, Jonas Kaufmann, and Tomasz Konieczny. The production from 2013 is conducted by Franz Welser-Möst.

Elina Garanca, Roberto Alagna, Carlos Álvarez, and Sorin Coliban star in a 2018 production of Saint-Saëns’ “Samson et Dalila.” Marco Armiliato conducts.
