Jonas Kaufmann and conductor Kirill Petrenko will join forces to close out the Bayerische Staatsoper’s Monday concert series on June 29, 2020.

The famed tenor is poised to sing Mahler’s “Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen” in a program that will also include R. Strauss’ Orchestral Suite from the Music to the “Citizen as Noble” of Molière, Stravinsky’s “Pulcinella” Suite, and Schönberg’s Chamber Symphony.

The concert, which begins at 7:30 p.m. local time on Staatsoper.tv, will feature the Bavarian State Orchestra.

This is the latest of several concert performances that will feature Kaufmann. He is also set to appear at one of the reopening concerts for the Grand Théâtre de Genève alongside pianist Helmut Deutsch.
