The Tiroler Festspiele Erl has announced its 2026-27 season.

Winter 2026

Julius Zeman conducts Bach’s “Weihnachtsoratorium” with Alina Wunderlin, Anita Monserrat, Manuel Günther, and Michael Nagl.

Performance Date: Dec. 6, 2026


Asher Fisch conducts Verdi’s “Nabucco” with Gabriele Viviani, Anastasia Bartoli, Simon Lim, Emilia Rukavina, and Giorgio Berrugi.

Performance Date: Dec. 13, 2026


Asher Fisch conducts “Ein Bauer namens Verdi.”

Performance Date: Dec. 20, 2026


Asher Fisch conducts Verdi’s “La Traviata” in a production by Mariame Clément. Julia Muzychenko, Dumitru Mîțu, and Vito Priante star.

Performance Dates: Dec. 27, 2026-Jan. 5, 2027


Riccardo Frizza and Maria Agresta lead the Silver Concert.

Riccardo Frizza conducts Donizetti’s “Anna Bolena” with Alexandros Stavrakakis, Marigona Qerkezi, Aigul Akhmetshina, Jack Swanson, and Teresa Iervolino.

Spring 2027

Hannah Eisendle conducts Mozart with Karin Meissl as moderated and Sieglinde Feldhofer as Soprano.

Asher Fisch conducts Wagner’s “Parsifal” in a production by Philipp M. Krenn. The cast includes Gerald Finley, Martin Snell, John Relyea, Jonas Kaufmann, and Irene Roberts.

Performance Dates: March 25 & 28, 2027


Martijn Dendievel conducts Bach’s “St Matthew Passion” with Mark Milhofer, Andrew Hamilton, Anna-Lena Elbert, Rachael Wilson, Lunga Eric Hallam, and Michael Nagl.

Performance Date: March 26, 2027


Asher Fisch conducts Schubert’s “Der Tod und das Mädchen D 531” and Mozart’s “Requiem.”

Performance Date: March 27, 2027


Summer 2027

Asher Fisch conducts Wagner’s “Tristan und Isolde” in a production by Johannes Erath. The opera stars John Matthew Myers, Irene Roberts, René Pape, Kristina Stanek, Christoph Pohl, Sean Michael Plumb, Matthew Newlin, and Lukas Enoch Lemcke.

Performance Dates: July 3-24, 2027


Christian Blex conducts Franz Schreker’s “Der Ferne Klang” in a production by Calixto Bieito. The cast includes Evan LeRoy Johnson, Lidia Fridman, Ashley Riches, Miriam Treichl, Mark Stone, Stefan Astakhov, Fan Zhou,  Johanna Thomsen, and Laura Ulloa.

Performance Dates: July 10-25, 2027


Asher Fisch conducts Strauss’s Four Last Songs with Pretty Yende. The program includes Anna Clyne’s “This Midnight Hour für Orchester” and Strauss’ “Also sprach Zarathustra.”

Lucie Leguay conducts Francesco Filidei’s “Accabadora” with Valentina Carrasco directing. The cast includes Noa Frenkel, Rachel Masclet, Lodovico Filippo Ravizza, Hugo Brady, Victoire Bunel, and Francesco Leone.

Luca Salsi and Nelson Calzi performs a recital of music by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Gaetano Donizetti, Gioacchino Rossini and Giuseppe Verdi.
