Jonas Kaufmann, Anna Netrebko & Sonya Yoncheva Headline Ljubljana Festival

The 69th annual Ljubljana Festival has announced a star-studded lineup.

The Slovenian festival announced that the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra and the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra will be joined by some of the greatest stars in the world.

Plácido Domingo returns to the festival for the first time since he conducted at the 67th Ljubljana Festival. This time he will perform an evening of arias alongside soprano Sabina Cvilak.

Sonya Yoncheva will make her Slovenia debut alongside tenor Branko Robinšak while tenor Jonas Kaufmann will return for an intimate evening with conductor Jochen Rieder and RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra.

Anna Netrebko returns to the festival for the second year in a row alongside her husband and frequent on-stage partner Yufis Eyvazov.

The festival also announced a program by José Cura. He will be joined by the choirs, orchestra, and international soloists Elisa Balbo, Nuška Drašček, Péter Balczó, and Marcell Bakonyi under the baton of conductor Maria de Rosa.

Dates will be announced in the coming weeks.
