PBS has announced two upcoming concerts on its Great Performances series dedicated to two of opera’s biggest stars.

First up, the channel will broadcast “Great Performances at the Met: Anna Netrebko” in recital, featuring the famed Russian superstar as she brings her tried and true recital of songs by Rachmaninoff, Rimsky-Korsakov, Tchaikovsky, Debussy, Dvorak, Fauré, and Strauss from Vienna’s Spanish Riding School. The diva performed alongside Pavel Nebolsin.

That showcase is set to premiere on Friday, June 18, 2021.

Then just one week later, PBS will broadcast Jonas Kaufmann’s performance with the Vienna Philharmonic from 2020. The tenor performed music by Strauss, Wagner, Offenbach, and Puccini from the Schönbrunn Palace Gardens. Valery Gergiev conducted.

That performance will be broadcast via PBS starting on June 25, 2021.
