John Osborn, Olga Peretyatko, Anna Goryachova & Alex Esposito Headline Rai5 Broadcasts for Next Week

Italian television channel Rai5 has announced broadcasts for the week of Jan. 11 – Jan. 15, 2021.
First up will be a production of Donizetti’s “L’elisir d’amore” with Mariangela Sicilia, John Osborn, Iurii Samoilov, Alex Esposito and Francesca Benitez. Francesco Lanzillotta conducts. The opera was filmed at the Macerata Opera Festival in 2018.
Streaming Date: Jan. 11 at 10 a.m. CET
A production of Rossini’s “Il Sigismondo” follows. The Rossini work stars Daniela Barcellona, Andrea Concetti, Olga Peretyatko, Antonino Siragusa, Manuela Bisceglie and Enea Scala. Michelle Mariotti conducts. The opera was filmed at the Rossini Opera Festival di Pesaro in 2010.

Teatro dell’Opera di Roma’s 2017 production of “Il viaggio a Reims” follows with Mariangela Sicilia, Anna Goryachova, Maria Grazia Schiavo, Francesca Dotto, Juan Francisco Gatell, Adrian Sâmpetrean, and Nicola Ulivieri will be streamed. Stefano Montanari conducts.

In the evening, audiences can check the Teatro dell’Opera di Roma’s 2017 “La damnation de Faust” with Pavel Černoch, Alex Esposito, Veronica Simeoni and Goran Jurić. Daniele Gatti conducts.

Franz Lehár’s operetta “Die Lustige Witwe” will be streamed next. The showcase features Nadja Mchantaf, Paulo Szot, Anthony Michaels-Moore, Adriana Ferfecka, Peter Sonn, and Marcello Nardis. The opera was filmed at the Teatro Costanzi in 2019.

Puccini’s “Madama Butterfly” ends the weekly slate. The opera stars Amarilli Nizza, Massimiliano Pisapia, Alberto Mastromarino, and Giovanna Lanza. Pinchas Steinberg conducts. The opera was filmed at Teatro Regio di Torino in 2014.
