John Holiday to Deliver Keynote Address at Early Music America’s 2023 Summit

Early Music America‘s first in-person Summit will be held in Boston from Oct. 24 -26, 2023. The Summit, themed “Making Connections,” will highlight the community’s cultural diversity and promote sharing and learning.

Countertenor John Holiday will deliver the keynote address on Tuesday, October 24th, and discuss his career with EMA Executive Director David McCormick, which spans modern and historical performance.

The 2023 Summit features over 20 presentations by scholar-performers that bridge music-making, research, advocacy, education, and entrepreneurship. Networking opportunities will be available through performances and social activities. The summit will include concerts, panels, presentations, workshops, and more.

The Summit will occur at Emmanuel Church in the City of Boston and First Church Boston.

For this article, only vocal performances are listed and are free to attend. Concerts will be presented at Emmanuel Church in the City of Boston.

The Old Dominion Madrigal Singers and Case Western Reserve University Historical Performance Ensembles will perform at the Young Performers Festival Concert.
