Countertenor John Holiday will star in an upcoming concert at the 92Y in New York City.

The performance, slated for Nov. 20, 2022, will feature the countertenor alongside musicians from the New York Philharmonic, including violinist Michelle Kim, violist Cong Wu, cellist Ru-Pei Yeh, flutist Yoobin Son, and pianist Eric Huebner.

The program will commence with selections from Schubert’s “Die schöne Müllerin,” Debussy’s “Syrinx,” Maconchy’s third string quartet, Nourbakhsh’s “White Helmets as white as death,” Purcell’s “Chacony in G Minor,” and Fisher’s “Uchi-Soto.”

Holiday is set to appear at the Metropolitan Opera later this month in a production of “The Hours.” He will also appear in a staged performance of that opera in Budapest in early December. He will also perform in “Proximity” at the Lyric Opera of Chicago in early 2023, followed by “We Shall Not Be Moved” at the Pittsburgh Opera.
