John Adams Opera Headlines Princeton Festival 2019

The Princeton Festival has announced its 2019 season, which will feature a number of major performances, including one opera production.

Things will kick off with a production of “Nixon in China” in a production by Steven LaCosse. Sean Anderson will take on the title role while Rainelle Krause will be Pat Nixon. Cameron Schutza will be Chairman Mao and Teresa Castillo will be Madame Mao. Joseph Barron will be Henry Kissinger, Liz Culpepper will be the First Secretary, John Viscardi will be the Premier Chou En Lai, Emily Marvosh will be the Second Secretary, and Kristin Gornstein will be the Third Secretary.

Richard Tang Yuk will conduct the performances, which are set to take place at the McCarter Theatre Cneter.

Performance Dates: June 23, 30, 2019

The festival will also feature the musical “She Loves Me,” three baroque orchestral and choral concerts, and performances by pianist Rachel Cheung, and another by jazz vocalist Jazzmeia Horn.
