Joe Chalmers Joins TACT Artist Management

Originally from the United Kingdom, and now based in Amsterdam, the bass-baritone begins the 2026–27 season as Warrant Officer Mandel in Glass’ “Waiting for the Barbarians” at the Nederlandse Reisopera, followed by the role of Quercus in Dove’s “Uprising” at the Opera Zuid and the Dutch National Opera.
He is an alumnus of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and a former member of the Dutch National Opera Studio. He will also take part in the Aix-en-Provence voice residency during the 2026 Festival.
Previously, Chalmers made his debut at the London Coliseum for the English National Opera and has performed at the Garsington Opera, Longborough Festival Opera, and the British Youth Opera.
