Mezzo-soprano J’Nai Bridges and the Nu Deco Ensemble’s recording of Chris Rogerson’s multimedia work “Sacred Earth” premieres on YouTube on April 20, 2023.

“Sacred Earth” explores “nature, spirituality, and the human connection to the natural world.” The work is sewn together musically by J’Nai Bridges and the Nu Deco Ensemble. It also features elements of poetry, sacred texts, and original video by the Emmy-nominated director and National Geographic photographer Keith Ladzinski.

Originally,” Sacred Earth” was recorded on Dec. 10, 2021, at the Adrienne Arsht Center. The YouTube premiere will be made available to the public at noon local time.

Bridges is set to appear in performances with the National Symphony Orchestra between April 21-23, 2023 before showcasing her “Notes on Hope” program at The Wallis, Mondavi Center, San Francisco Performances the following weekend. She will also appear in a production of “Carmen” at the Teatro Lirico di Caligari in late June.
