The Royal Opera is set to showcase the Jette Parker Young Artist Summer Performance on July 21, 2019.

The performance will be directed by Noa Naamat with conductors James Hendry, Patrick Milne, Thomas Payne, and Edmund Whitehead leading the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House.

The performance will include sopranos Haegee Lee, Jacquelyn Stucker, and Yaritza Véliz. Mezzo-sopranos Aigul Akhmetshina and Hongni Wu will also appear, as will countertenor Patrick Terry. Among the other male artists are tenors Konu Kim and Thando Mjandana; baritones Germán E. Alcántara, Dominic Sedgwick, and Chuma Sijega; and bass-baritone Michael Mofidian.

The artists will perform music from such operas as “Le Nozze di Figaro,” “Orfeo ed Euridice,” “Il Barbiere di Siviglia,” “Rigoletto,” and “Falstaff.”

“I am delighted to once again welcome audiences to our annual Jette Parker Young Artists Summer Performance, featuring 10 international singers, four aspiring conductors, a fabulous female director and two guest Link Artists from South Africa,” stated David Gowland, the Artistic Director of the Jette Parker Young Artists Programme. “The Summer Performance remains a highlight of the calendar for anyone interested in experiencing the skills of some of the most talented young performers working in opera today. The future for these artists is bright!”
