On April 19, the Teatro dell Opera di Roma will premiere a new production of Bellini’s “Il Puritani.”

The production, which will be broadcast on Rai Radio3, will be conducted by Roberto Abbado and will be directed by Andrea De Rosa. The new production will see set design by Nicolas Bovey, costumes by Mariano Tufano, and lighting by Pasquale Mari.

The production is set to star Jessica Pratt in the lead role of Elvira alongside John Osborn and Francesco Demuro, who share the role fo Arturo. They will be joined by Franco Vassallo (Sir Riccardo Forth), Nicola Ulivieri (Sir Giorgio Valton), and Roberto Lorenzi (Lord Gualtiero Valton).

The cast will be rounded out by talents of Fabbrica Young Artist Program del Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Rodrigo Ortiz and Irene Savignano.

The opera will be performed through April 30, 2022.
