Jessica Pratt, Francesco Demuro, Nardus Williams, Serena Saenz, Xabier Anduaga Headline International Opera Awards 2022 Program

The International Opera Awards has announced the program and performers for its upcoming ceremony on Nov. 28, 2022 at the Teatro Real de Madrid.

Jessica Pratt and Francesco Demuro will headline a duet from “I Puritani” with soprano Nardus Williams presenting “Dovo sono” from “Le Nozze di Figaro.” Audiences will also hear soprano Barno Ismatullaeva in “Un Bel dì, vedremo” from “Madama Butterfly” and Tenor Xabier Anduaga and soprano Nadine Sierra in a duet from “Lucia di Lammermoor.” There will also be performances of songs from zarzuelas by Serena Saenz and Iván Ayón Rivas.

There will also be music from Verdi’s “Macbeth,” Vives’ “Doña Francisquita,” and de Fallas’s “La Vida breve,” conducted by José Miguel Pérez Sierra. The event will be directed by Ella Marchment.

“I’m delighted to announce such a star-studded and international list of performers for the International Opera Awards 2022, our first in-person live event since 2019. With an incredible program of music set in the glorious venue of the Teatro Real, it’s going to a night to remember. I’m greatly looking forward to welcoming the performers and nominees to Madrid and to celebrate their successes with them,” said Harry Hyman, founder of the International Opera Awards, in an official press release.
