The Theater Dortmund has announced its 2024-25 season.

Premieres 

Verdi’s “La Traviata” will get a new production by Vincent Boussard and Will Humburg will conduct. The opera will star Anna Sohn, Sooyeon Lee, Jessica Nuccio, Andrea Caré, Sungho Kim, and Mandla Mndebele.

Performance Dates: Sept. 15, 2024-Jan 3, 2025

Gil Mehmert directs a new production of “Sweeney Todd” with Ks. Morgan Moody, Bettina Mönch, Jonas Hein, Harriet Jones, Julius Störmer, Andreas Laurenz Maier, Florian Sigmund, Nina Janke, and Fritz Steinbacher. Koji Ishizaka, Andrea Alessandrini, and Karsten Scholz alternate at the pit.

Performance Dates: Oct. 12, 2024-April 21, 2025

Motonori Kobayashi and Koji Ishizaka conduct J. Strauss’ “Die Fledermaus” in a production by Hinrich Horstkotte. The operetta will star Fritz Steinbacher, Tanja Christine Kuhn, Sooyeon Lee, Subin Park, Wendy Krikken, David DQ Lee, Ruth Katharina Peeck, Cosima Büsing, Sungho Kim, Ju Hyeok Lee,  and Daegyun Jeong.

Denis Velev, Artyom Wasnetsov, Anna Sohn, Sungho Kim, Tanja Christine Kuhn, Ks. Morgan Moody, Daegyun Jeong, Sooyeon Lee star in Mozart’s “Don Giovanni.” Olivia Lee-Gundermann, Koji Ishizaka, and Andrea Alessandrini conduct the new production by Ilaria Lanzino.

Morgan Moody, and Artyom Wasnetsov. Gabriel Feltz and Motonori Kobayashi conduct Alexander Becker’s production.
