Jazmine Saunders, Jonathan Pierce Rhodes, Joshua Conyers Headline Finger Lakes Opera’s 2025 Summer Festival

Finger Lakes Opera (FLO) has announced its 2025 summer festival.

The season opens with “Juneteenth,” a program that features Jazmine Saunders Jonathan Pierce Rhodes, Joshua Conyers, and Holden James Turner. Also performing are Mt. Olivet Gospel Choir, and the Wings of Praise Flag Ministry, among others.

Performance Date: June 19, 2025


The company will offer a screening of “Chevalier” in collaboration with WXXI Classical and The Little Theatre. The screening will include a panel co-moderated by Dr. Crystal Sellers Battle, Associate Dean of Equity & Inclusion at the Eastman School of Music, and Mona Seghatoleslami of WXXI.

Screening Date: July 12, 2025


“Out Loud at Artisan Works” will feature tenor Jonathan Pierce Rhodes, alongside Georgia Belmont, Karen Kelley, Marieke de Koker, Jason Garcia-Kakuk, Eunsung Lee, Andrew Boisvert, Izabella Gozzo, Sofia Mains, Julia Tooker, Caleb Meyerhoff, Jonathon Rahul Sengupta, Charles Bohrer, and pianist Cris Frisco, as they perform popular arias and Broadway showtunes.

Performance Date: July 15, 2025


Then comes Bologne’s “The Anonymous Lover,” starring Georgia Belmont, Marieke de Koker, Julia Tooker, Jonathan Pierce Rhodes, Jason Garcia-Kakuk, and Charles Bohrer. Brock Tjosvold conducts, and Stephanie Havey directs. Natalie Rogers-Cooper and Norwood Pennewell choreograph the show.

There will be an “Opera & Ale” showcase at Heroes Brewing Co.

Performance Date: July 25, 2025


The festival closes out with “Rigoletto” starring Joshua Conyers, Jazmine Saunders, Christopher Bozeka, Andrewe Boisvert, and Marieke de Koker. Michael Sakir conducts, and Stephanie Havey directs.
