Jayme Burzette Launches Muse Artists International

By David Salazar

Artist manager Jayme Burzette has created Muse Artists International, a new agency where he will be Managing Director.

Burzette kicked off his career in marketing and development research at the Minnesota Orchestra and The Santa Fe Opera before heading to New York City to work for Columbia Artists Management. He eventually joined IMG Artists in 2016 and worked with such artists as Frederica von Stade, Susan Graham, Sasha Cooke, Jakub Józef Orliński, before becoming an artist manager.

“During this terribly difficult time in our industry with performing arts facilities closing and full seasons being canceled, I find it incredibly important to continue fostering high-level talent to be ready once performances begin again to give audiences a quality experience in opera houses and music halls around the world,” Burzette told OperaWire. “The trend in the United States moving forward will be more specialized boutique agencies much like what already exists in Europe. I’m honored to be working for the singers on the Muse Artists International roster and look forward to audiences enjoying their performances one day very soon.”

Muse Artists International aims to partner with singers in order to support their unique artistic identity.

“Our mission is to create connections between these artists and industry leaders that ultimately shares the thrilling experience of the human voice with audiences through exciting repertoire and adventurous programming,” says the company’s official statement in a press release.

The inaugural roster of artists includes Viktor Antipenko, Joshua Blue, Mathilda Edge, Alex McKissick, Matthew Pearce, Rafael Porto, Liv Redpath, Natalia Santaliz, Carolyn Sproule, and Yunpeng Wang.
