The Donizetti Opera Festival has announced the “Gran Gala sul Sofa.”

Presented by the festival’s director Francesco Micheli and Music Director Riccardo Frizza, the gala will be showcased on Facebook on April 24 at 6 p.m. Italian time.

The performed will be structured as televised talk and a live concert with a number of opera stars from their apartments and houses who have participated in the Donizetti festival and some who are set to star in this year’s upcoming edition.

Among the stars that have been announced are Javier Camarena, Davinia Rodriguez, Jessica Pratt, Carmela Remigio, Paolo Bordogna, Alex Esposito, and Corrado Rovaris.

The festival will announce the rest of the lineup and guest stars in the coming days.

In addition to the gala the festival is also organizing a contest. Audience members who watch the gala will be asked to dress up as if going to the theater and post a picture on Facebook and Instagram using the hashtag #grangalasulsofà and tagging the Donizetti Opera. The coolest outfits and pictures will win tickets to the next festival.
