Javier Camarena & Cecilia Bartoli Highlight Palau De La Musica Valencia’s 2019-20 Season

The Palau de la Musica de Valencia has announced its 2019-20 season.

The season opens with María José Montiel and Ramón Tebar performing Mahler’s Symphony No. 3.

Performance Date: Oct. 18, 2019

Raquel Lojendio, Cristina Faus, Vicente Ombuena, and José Antonio López will perform Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 with Ramón Tebar conducting. The concert will also include Ba reconstruction of the composer’s Symphony No. 10.

Performance Date: Nov. 22, 2019

The Oxford Voices and Instruments of Time and Truth will perform Handel’s Messiah with Edward Higginbottom.

Performance Date: Dec. 15, 2019

Joseph Calleja and Ramón Tebar will join forces for an evening of Verdi, Puccini, Massenet, Mascagni, Tchaikovsky, Tosti, Vella, Donaudy, and Leoncavallo.

Performance Date: Dec. 20, 2019

Performance Date: Feb. 4, 2020

Nancy Fabiola Herrera, Guillermo Galvé, and conductor Álvaro Hagopian perform Piazzolla’s “María de Buenos Aires.”

Performance Date: March 21, 2020

Viktoria Mullova and soprano Ofelia Sala perform an evening of Beethoven with Ramón Tebar conducting.

Performance Date: March 27, 2020

Thomas Walker, Henk Neven, Carolyn Sampson, Marianne Beate Kielland, Stuart Jackson, and André Morsch, perform Bach’s St. Matthew’s Passion with Daniel Reuss conducting.

Performance Date: April 1, 2020

Isabel Rey, Clara Mouriz, Juan Antonio Sanabria, and Josep Miquel Ramón perform an all Beethoven program with Gérard Korsten conducting.

Performance Date: April 3, 2020

Cecilia Bartoli and Andres Gabetta performance an evening of Vivaldi.
