Famed mezzo-soprano Jamie Barton is set to appear as part of the San Francisco Performances on Dec. 11, 2019.

This event marks the second time that Barton performs with the organization following her recital debut back in 2015. She will appear alongside pianist Kathleen Kelly, who will be making her SF Perfomrances debut.

The program for the concert will focus on women composers including Elinor Remick Warren, Lili Boulanger, Amy Beach, Libby Larsen and Nadia Boulanger. There will also be music by Haydn, Ravel, Duparc, and R. Strauss.

“For 40 years SFP has been a leader in discovering and introducing new talent to Bay Area audiences,” stated SF Performances President Melanie Smith. “Over the past four years Jamie’s career has exploded at the same time that she has made headlines. SFP’s collaborations with a new generation of musicians who are supremely talented, refreshingly candid and audaciously outspoken helps to move the art of song forward by making it both accessible to younger audiences and more relevant in this changing cultural landscape.”
