Jamie Barton made her Broadway debut on Nov. 8, 2019.
The mezzo-soprano, who is currently performing at the Metropolitan Opera, announced via social media that she had been invited by soprano Kristin Chenoweth to make her debut.
She stated via social media, “Guys… this is it: tonight, thanks to the luminous Kristin Chenoweth, I make my Broadway debut at the Nederlander on her amazing concert. I can’t believe I’m here, and I can’t believe I’m this lucky.“
Barton recently performed at the Richard Tucker Gala and is currently performing in a revival of “Orfeo ed Euridice.” She is set to return to the Dallas Opera for a production of “Don Carlo” and will also sing at the Houston Grand Opera in a production of “La Favorite.” The mezzo also sings at the Met in the spring for “Maria Stuarda.”
