Jakub Jozef Orlinski, Franco Fagioli, Max Emanuel Cencic, Julia Lezhneva Headline Bayreuth Baroque Opera Festival 2021

Bayreuth Baroque Opera Festival has announced its 2021 program, which is set to take place between Sept. 1 through 12, 2021.

First up will be a production of Porpora’s “Carlo il Calvo” in a production by Max Emanuel Cencic. The opera will star Franco Fagioli, Max Emanuel Cencic, Julia Lezhneva, and Bruno de Sa, among others. George Petrou conducts the Armonia Atenea.

Performance Dates: Sept. 1-5, 2021

Next up is “Der Markgräfin Haus und Hofmusik.” The work will star Dorothee Oberlinger, Olga Watts, and Axel Wolf.

Performance Dates: Sept. 2, 2021

Simone Kermes and Amici Veneziani will perform “Canzonetta d’amore.”

Performance Dates: Sept. 4, 2021

Maddalena del Gobbo, Gambe and Alberto Busettini will perform in “Sechs Saiten zum Parnass.”

Performance Dates: Sept. 6, 2021

Benjamin Hulett, Lucy Crowe, Hogni Wu, and Pavel Kudinov will headline Händel’s “Judas Maccabaeus.”

Performance Dates: Sept. 7, 2021

Martyna Pastuszka will appear in “Musica Princeps.”

Performance Dates: Sept. 8, 2021

Max Emanuel Cencic, Yuriy Mynenko, Julia Lezhneva, and Pavel Kudinov will perform Porpora’s “Polifemo.”

Performance Dates: Sept. 9, 2021

Jakub Jozef Orlinski and Il Pomo d’Oro will perform “Anima Aeterna.”

Performance Dates: Sept. 10, 2021

Franco Fagioli and the Armonia Atenea under George Petrou will perform in the “Vinci Gala.”

Performance Dates: Sept. 11, 2021
