Jakub Josef Orlinski, Anna Prohaska, Sandrine Piau Headline Bayreuth Baroque Opera Festival 2024

First up is Porpora’s “Ifigenia in Aulide.” The new production by Max Emanuel Cencic will be conducted by Christophe Rousset and stars Jasmin Delfs, Lena Belkina, Max Emanuel Cencic, Dennis Orellana, Vince Yi, and Daniel Giuliani.

Jakub Jósef Orlinski appears in performance with Il Pomo d’Oro. The program includes works by Monteverdi, Marini, Caccini, Frescobaldi, and Barbara Strozzi, among others.

Mezzo-soprano Lucile Richardot and the Baroque Magicians, under Jean-Luc Ho, present music by Händel, Cavalli, Charpentier, Cabanilles, Lully, and Webb, among others.

Soprano Sandrine Piau and Les Talens Lyriques under Christophe Rousset perform works by Montéclaire, Corelli, Scarlatti, and Händel.

Marco Bellussi directs “Orlando Furioso.” Francesco Corti conducts a cast starring Yuriy Mynenko, Giuseppina Bridelli, Arianna Venditelli, Sonja Runje, Tim Mead, Ray Chenez, and José Coca Loza.

Nuria Rial and the Accademia del Piacere, under Fahmi Alqhai, present music by Durón, Alqhai, de Murcia, and Bononcini.

Countertenor Terry Wey performs in recital alongside lute player Luca Pianca and viola de gamba interpreter Vittorio Ghielmi. The program includes works by Händel, Forqueray, Dabue, and Marais.
