On June 25, the Teatro La Fenice will open a production of Gounod’s “Faust.”

The production will be directed by Joan Anton Rechi and will see Ivan Ayon Rivas singing the title role.

Frédéric Chaslin conducts with a cast that also includes Alex Esposito as Méphistophélès, Carmela Remigio as Marguerite, Armando Noguera as Valentin, and Paola Gardina as Siébel.

Rivas is a well-known tenor who has performed at the Teatro Regio di Torino, Teatro alla Scala, and Teatro dell’Opera di Roma while Esposito and Remigio are regulars at the Teatro La Fenice.

“Faust” is one of the two summer productions the company is set to present. The company will also showcase “Farnace” as well as several concerts.

“Faust” will be performed five times and will run through July 3, 2021.
