
Isabela Diaz, Tim Mead, Jeremy Ovenden, Sara Brady Star in Grange Festival 2026 Season

The Grange Festival today unveiled its 2026 season.

Opera
First up is Handel’s “Giulio Cesare” by director David Alden. Tim Mead makes his festival debut in the title role. Sara Brady, Hugh Cutting, Jess Dandy, Zheng Jiang, James Atkinson, and Owen Willetts are among the cast. Christian Curnyn conducts the Early Opera Company.
Performance Dates: June 13, 19, & 25, 2026
A new production of Puccini’s “La Bohème” is presented in collaboration with Opéra national de Nancy-Lorraine, from director David Geselson. Isabela Diaz sings the role of Mimi with Luke Norvell as Rodolfo. Rhian Lois sings Musetta and Patrick Dow performs the role of Marcello. The Grange Festival Chorus is directed by William Vann. Richard Farnes conducts the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.

Max Webster’s production of Tchaikovsky’s “Eugene Onegin” is next. Vladislav Chizhov sings the title role with Ruzan Mantashyan as Tatyana. Alice Chung, Ryan Vaughan-Davies, Diana Montague, Catherine Wyn-Rogers, Mark Kurmanbayev, and Toby Spence round out the cast. William Vann leads the Grange Festival Chorus. Lidiya Yankovskaya conducts the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.

Concert
Mozart’s “La Clemenza di Tito” stars Jeremy Ovenden, Aphrodite Patoulidou, Anna El-Khashem, Maite Beaumont, Ambroisine Bré, and Adrien Fournaison. Conductor and harpsichordist Christophe Rousset and Les Talens Lyriques make their Festival debuts.

“The Soul of Opera” features performances by the Welsh National Opera Orchestra under the baton of Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser.
