Isabel Leonard to Headline Performance & Masterclass at Montclair State University

Grammy Award–winning mezzo-soprano Isabel Leonard will join Montclair State University’s Cali Immersive Residency for a special afternoon of music and mentorship on Sunday, November 9, at 3:00 p.m.

The event, held at Leshowitz Recital Hall in Chapin Hall at the John J. Cali School of Music, will feature Leonard performing Samuel Barber’s “Knoxville: Summer of 1915” with the University Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Kyle Ritenauer.

Following the performance, Leonard will lead a public vocal masterclass with Cali School voice students, offering an inside look at her artistry and interpretive approach.

Leonard is a world-renowned singer who has performed at the Metropolitan Opera, Paris Opera, Vienna State Opera, Lyric Opera of Chicago, and Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, among others.
