
International Opera Workshop Waiblingen 2025 Announces Participants & Schedule
By David SalazarThe 6th International Opera Workshop Waiblingen 2025 has unveiled its slate and participants.
The organization noted that the workshop will take place between Sept. 13-20, 2025 and will feature 12 singers from eight countries. The artists include German mezzo-soprano/contralto Jasmin Etminan, German soprano Lena Geiger, British mezzo-soprano Lucy Gibbs who lives in Belgium, Canadian soprano Chelsea Količ, Swedish soprano Wilma Kvamme who lives in Austria, Chinese tenor Hao Li who lives in Germany, German mezzo-soprano Maria Melts, South African bass-baritone Lonwabo Mose, Chinese countertenor WenBo Shuai, Japanese bass-baritone Taku Hayasaka, German soprano Anastasia Wanek, and Russian baritone Stepan Zavalishin.
The singers were selected to work publicly with Melanie Diener and Thomas Hampson for eight days before performing in a final concert alongside the Württemberg Philharmonic Orchestra Reutlingen under chief conductor Ariane Matiakh.
