Insula Orchestra has unveiled its 2022-23 season.
Only programs featuring vocal music will be included in this article.
The season kicks off with “The splendors of Roman polyphony,” which features music by Scarlatti, Allegri, Rossi, and Giorgi. Soloists include Julie Roset, Paulin Bündgen, Valerio Contaldo, and Matteo Bellotto. Leonard García Alarcón conducts.

There will be a “Midnight Mass” by Charpentier featuring Ensemble Correspondances and conductor Sébastien Daucé.

Laurence Equilbey leads a performance of Beethoven’s “Ninth Symphony.” There will be three performances at La Seine Musicale, deSingel, and Brucknerhaus. Soloists include Camille Schnoor, Marie-Andrée Bouchard-Leiseur, Benjamins Bruns, and Alexander Tsymbalyuk.

Marie Perbost, Anthea Pichanick, Hugues Primard, and Emmanuel Vistorky solo in Pergolesi’s “Stabat Mater.” Vincent Dumestre conducts.
Performance Date: Feb. 8, 2023
Amitai Pati and Samuel Hasselhorn will be the soloists in Fauré’s “Requiem” as well as Gounod’s “Saint Francis of Assisi.” Laurence Equilbey conducts.
Performance Date: Feb. 15 & 16, 2023
The 30th anniversary celebration of “Accentus” will feature such soloists as Hélène Carpentier, Hilary Summers, Stanislas de Barbeyrac, and Florian Sempey as they perform music by Mendelssohn. Equilbey conducts.

Leonardo García Alarcón leads a performance of Monteverdi’s “Orfeo” starring Valerio Contaldo, Mariana Florès, Giuseppina Bridelli, Anna Reinhold, Alejandro Meerapfel, and Salvo Vitale, among others.
Performance Date: April 5, 2023
Equilbey leads a performance of music by Schumann and Beethoven as directed by Antonin Baudry. Soloists include Ric Furman, Rafal Pawnuk, Camille Schnoor, and Adèle Clermont.
Performance Date: May 12-15, 2023
Baritone Benjamin Appl will take on music by Mozart, Haydn, Salieri, and Martín y Soler. Christophe Rousset conducts Les Talens Lyriques.
