The Innsbruck Festival of Early Music announced its plans for a new artistic direction beginning in Sept. 2023.

The focus is a structural reformatting to increase the longevity and resilience of the festival. First, the festival plans to implement a three to five-year rotation for its management team.

Currently heading the projects are Ottavio Dantone who will act as Musical Director and Operations Director Mag. Eva-Maria Sens will serve as Artistic Director. Both will hold these positions from 2024 to 2028.

In an official press statement, Dr. Markus Lutz, the current Managing Director, (who will begin serving as the Commercial Director) said, “Thanks to this reorientation, the Festival now has resilient, contemporary structures that enable us to react competently and flexibly to developments and to lead the Innsbruck Festival into the future in constantly changing times.”
