IMG Artists has announced the promotion of Sam Snook to Head of Vocal, London.

Snook will succeed Stefania Almansi, who retired in 2021.

Snook has worked for 17 years in the classical music industry and previously held positions at the Lyric Opera of Chicago, Santa Fe Opera, and OPERA America.

In a statement, Snook said, “With this move to Europe, I look forward to continued work with terrific colleagues, helping create new opportunities for our artists, and increasing the number of vocal staff in our European offices to match the demands of our industry. In 2024, it is of utmost importance to remain buoyant with the ever-changing classical landscape, and the needs of our artists.”

Snook first joined IMG Artists in 2009, working closely with Matthew A. Horner, Executive Vice President and global Head of Vocal.

In a statement, Horner added, “Sam’s move to London is a very positive development for IMG Artists. With the complicated nature of our business, and the best artists needing true worldwide representation, I see this move by one of my most trusted colleagues as a fruitful venture for all of us in vocal.”

Snook will continue to work with division colleagues Claire Feazey, senior vice president at IMG Artists Paris, Thomas Walton, senior vice president at IMG Artists London, artist managers Isabella Pitman, Devere Burnett, Mattia Campetti, and Solal del Castillo, as well as Senior Assistant Artist Managers Floriana Maiello, Aleksandar Reupert and Noah Sesling.

With his new position, Snook also announced that IMG has signed such singers as tenor Mingjie Lei, tenor Ryan Capozzo, baritone Eleomar Cuello, bass-baritone Federico De Michelis, and bass-baritone Gábor Bretz.
