ICAV Unveils Cast For Leoncavallo’s ‘La Bohème’

L’Institut Canadien d’Art Vocal Has announced the cast for its upcoming production of Leoncavallo’s “La Bohème.”

The production will feature Alexei Kuznietsov as Marcello with Jay Lucas Chacon as Rodolfo. Playing Mimì will be Isabelle Freeman, while Musetta will be interpreted by Cloe SanAntonio. Eugenia Forteza will take on the role of Eufemia and Jan Van der Hooft will interpret Gaudenzio. Michael Pitocchi will be Barbemuche. Zachary Sebek will take on Durand while Vincent Grana will be Colline. Finally, Simon Chalifoux will play Schaunard and Luka Jozic will take on the Visconte.

David Rosenmeyer will conduct the production, which will be directed by Joshua Major. The opera will be presented on August 7, 2019.

ICAV’s 16th Festival d’Art Vocal is set to take place between July 22 and August 9, 2019. It will feature masterclasses in addition to concerts dedicated to the music of Mozart and French repertory.
