Hup! Productions Set to Present ‘For the Love of Friends’ in NYC

By David Salazar

Director Cara Consilvio and Hup! Productions are set to present “For the Love of Friends” at the West End Theatre at Church of St. Paul and St. Andrew in New York on Jan. 24, 25, and 26.

The work tells the story of Brent Nicholson Earle who began the American Run for the End of AIDS, a 9,000-mile run around the U.S. and parts of Canada. Earle wrote the piece, which weaves together interview, accounts, and diary entries of the story.

Performing in the event will be pianist Gordon Chermer with tenor Aaron Casey and baritone Mario Diaz-Moresco. Other artists who will be featured include Kristyn Christman-McCarty, Kathleen Grace Fiori, Christian Adam Jacobs, and Sarah Misch.

“To see Brent work with our cast is electric,” stated producer Alex Charner in a press release. “Brent, who came to New York 50 years ago, driven by a passion for the theater, merges his voice with these extraordinary young artists.”
