Hui He to be Recipient of Vivian Leigh Award

By Francisco Salazar

On July 5, Hui He will be honored with the Vivien Leigh Award, in the evocative setting of the Palazzo della Loggia Rambaldi, in Bardolino, on the Veronese side of the Garda Lake.

The award was born from Corriere della Riviera and Artistic director Andrea Torresani to honor the memory of Vivien Leigh and Laurence Olivier, the two great actors that loved to spend their summer holidays in Italy. The evening will be hosted by Susanna Gecchele.

In a statement Hui He said, “I’m really thankful to the Corriere della Riviera and artistic director Andrea Torresani. Being honored with an award for my career is always an important motivation for my desire to grow as an artist. I’m looking forward to going to the wonderful Garda Lake, a territory I love so much, as did Leigh and Olivier. They are really two legends, two great inspirations for all of us.”

Hui He recently made her debut in Lisbon in “Ernani” and is set to perform at the Bilbao Opera and Staatsoper Hamburg this season.
