How To Watch ‘Werther’ Live From Bergen National Opera Via OperaVision

Jules Massenet’s “Werther” will be showcased live from the Bergen National Opera via Operavision’s live streaming service.

The stream kicks off at 7 p.m. local time on March 22. That’s around 2 p.m. EDT and 11 a.m. PST for the start time. It will be available for repeat viewings on Opera Vision until April. 21, 2019.

Edgaras Montvidas will star as the tragic lover while Catriona Morison will appear as the objection of his affection, Charlotte. Hanna Husáhr will be Sophie and Tim Mix will interpret Albert. Antony McDonald directs while Frédéric Chaslin conducts.

The streaming service is free through OperaVision, which, per its official website, is a project “supported by the European Union’s Creative Europe program, OperaVision builds on the success of The Opera Platform, with more contributing opera companies from more countries, under the editorial supervision of Opera Europa, the European association of opera companies and festivals. OperaVision brings together 30 partners from 18 countries and invites you to travel and discover the diversity of opera from wherever you want, whenever you want.”

Next up on OperaVision will be the production of “Falstaff” from Garsington Opera.
