The Bayerische Staatsoper will live stream the March 30, 2019 performance of Puccini’s “La Fanciulla del West” via its Staatsoper.TV.

The free transmission will kick off at 7 p.m. local time (1 p.m. EST and 10 a.m. PST) and is set to feature Anja Kampe as the opera’s heroine Minnie. Brandon Jovanovich will appear as the bandit Ramirez / Dick Johnson, while John Lundgren will take on the role of Jack Rance, the local sheriff bent on finding Ramirez and winning Minnie for himsef.

Other cast members include Kevin Connors, Tim Kuypers, Bálint Szabó, Justing Austin, Manuel Günter, Alexander Milev, Galeano Salas, Freddie DE Tommaso, Christian Rieger, Norman Garrett, Oleg Davydov, and Noa Beinart, among others.

Conductor James Gaffigan will lead the performance of the new production by Andreas Dresen.

The Bayerische Staatsoper is also planning streams for “Jewels,” “Alceste,” and “Salome.”
