Houston Grand Opera Cancels ‘Sing! Move! Play! Due to Hurricane Beryl

The Houston Grand Opera has announced the cancelation of its summer event “Sing! Move! Play!” on July 8, 2024.

The company took to social media to announce the news that due to weather conditions and out of an abundance of caution,  it would not go on with the event.

Houston is set to be hit with storms and heavy rain from Hurricane Beryl.

“Sing! Move! Play!” was set to be held at the Barbara Bush Branch Library and featured singing, dance, crafting, and more. The event is set to be held through July 12, 2024.

“Sing! Move! Play” is part of the Houston Grand Opera’s series of free summer programs for children. The programs take place at Levy Park, Harris County Public Library System, Children’s Museum Houston, and Houston Public Libraries between May 18 – July 30, 2024.
