Spyres is set to also make his Metropolitan Opera debut in “La Damnation de Faust” this month alongside Elina Garanca and Ildar Abdrazakov. This season he is set to appear at the Bayerische Statasoper, Tonhalle Orchester, Salzburg Festival and Wiener Staatsoper.

“La Favorite” also stars Jamie Barton, Jacques Imbrailo, Federico De Michelis, Christopher Bozeka, and Elena Villalón. Patrick Summers conducts the production by Kevin Newbury.

Brownlee returns to the performance on Feb. 1, 2020.
