Hila Fahima Leads New CD/DVD Releases

By Francisco Salazar

This week audiences will get to experience two new releases; one comes from a rising star while the other honoring female troubadours. Here is a look.

Cappella Clausura Presents Troubadours 2021

Cappella Clausura recorded a collection of commissioned works honoring female troubadours of the 12th-14th century. The recording will give new life to the works by an eclectic group of modern-day composers specializing in everything from jazz and hip hop to medieval and classical and Bengali music.

Hila Fahima

Israeli soprano Hila Fahima makes her debut recital for Orfeo singing arias by Donizetti and Verdi. The new album showcases the soprano in works from Donizetti’s “Rosmonda d’Inghilterra,” “Emilia di Liverpool,” “Lucia di Lammermoor,” “Linda di Chamounix,” “La Fille du régiment,” “L’elisir d’amore,” and “Don Pasquale,” and Verdi’s “I masnadieri” and “Rigoletto.”
