Hertfordshire Festival of Music Announces Lineup Including Choral Celebration of Queen’s Platinum Jubilee

By Chris Ruel

Hertfordshire Festival of Music (HFoM) has announced the lineup of performances slated for the seventh iteration of the classical music festival beginning June 2, 2022, and running through June 11.

The 2022 Festival, dubbed “A Festival of Celebration,” will serve up healthy portions of instrumental music, reserving one evening for vocal music to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

The concert will feature choirs from St. Andrews, All Saints, and the Hertford Chamber Choir for a rousing, patriotic performance featuring selections from the 1953 Coronation service. Additional music by Parry, Walton, Handel, and Purcell is also on the program. Organist William Whitehead will accompany the choirs. The Jubilee Choral Celebration will be held at All Saint’s Church, Queen’s Road, Hertford, on June 3, 2022.
