The Heritage Signature Chorale has announced its 2026-27 season.

The season opener, led by Artistic Director Stanley J. Thurston, brings together the Heritage Signature Chorale, HSC Chamber Singers, HSC Chamber Orchestra, and featured vocal soloists in a program that features music by Black composers, including Clarence Cameron White, Margaret Bonds, Adolphus Hailstork, Moses Hogan, Kirke Mechem, and Ulysses Kay.

Performance Date: Nov. 14, 2026

Then comes chorale’s annual holiday concert featuring a full presentation of Margaret Bonds’ Christmas cantata “The Ballad of the Brown King,” along with music by Damien Geter and holiday arrangements by Evelyn Simpson Curenton.

Performance Date: Dec. 6, 2026

Next up is “Black History Legacy Concert: Spiritual Voices,” which celebrates the musical legacy of African American composers and the tradition of the spiritual.

Performance Date: Feb. 27, 2027

The Heritage Signature Chorale closes its season with its annual concert.
